Our Services

The Learning Services at the School of Science assist you with questions related to your studies. We offer support in areas such as:

Study planning
Personal study plans (HOPS) and Sisu support
Exchange studies

Graduation

Contact Information

The School of Science does not have a physical student service desk; instead, student guidance and support are centralized in online platforms. If you need assistance and support for your studies, you can contact us via email or book an appointment with your programme's planner or coordinator in . See the instructions for using the MyStudies service.

Our office is located at the Computer Science Building (Konemiehentie 2). We work in a hybrid mode both remotely and on campus, so please book an appointment through MyStudies.

At the Starting Point, you can request, for example, a certificate of attendance, an official transcript of records, or guidance related to annual enrolment.

Starting Point of Wellbeing offers students low-threshold advice and service guidance on questions related to wellbeing.

As of the 2025–2026 academic year, Aalto University provides degree certificates in electronic format. The new practice has replaced traditional paper degree certificates for those graduating on or after August 1, 2025.

About electronic degree certificate

A paper degree certificate can be collected from the School of Science's Learning Services by appointment (those who have graduated on or before 31 July 2025). Book an appointment via email at sci.kandit@aalto.fi / bsc.tech@aalto.fi / sci.masters@aalto.fi.
