Aalto offers self-study materials, guidance and services that support student wellbeing. Below you will find more about the services available and links to useful materials.

On this page, we have collected information about services, materials and individuals that can help students with their study planning, study well-being and career reflections.

Do you need support for student well-being or learning?

Some of the factors affecting the ability to study, such as learning difficulties and mental health, may sometimes require support and assessment from outside the university. Now you can find a summary of the most important support providers for students on Aalto's website, where you can find more help and advice for various situations that make studying difficult.

Starting Point of Wellbeing offers drop-in guidance on matters related to wellbeing and study ability

The Starting Point of Wellbeing offers students easy access to counselling and advice on matters of well-being and study ability. The services available to you include drop-in (no reservation) advising/counselling sessions, peer support groups, and online materials. Holiday season break begins 12.12. and ends 7.1.

During the autumn semester, the FSHS organizes various group activities related to health and well-being. In a group you can get support for your health and life management.

Are you having trouble getting started with your studies? Do you struggle to establish routines? Does studying feel like a lonely task? Would you like to study alongside others in a similar situation? Join us for guided studying and pick up tips for more effective work during Pomodoro sessions!

Here you'll find information on our groups, workshops and online material for well-being, study skills and coping. The pages are administered by the Starting Point of Wellbeing. The groups and workshops are conducted in Finnish or English.

Help and Support During the Christmas Season

Starting Point of Wellbeing will be on a Christmas break from 12 December to 6 January, and during this time, there will be no drop-in guidance. On 7 January, guidance will resume normally. However, you don't have to be alone. If you need support in conversations or any help during the Christmas holidays, see the contact information below.
