At the start of the 2024 academic year, students were again invited to suggest ideas for improving the campus from a student perspective. The ideas were based on the annual "one euro for every student" participatory budgeting project, which was carried out for the fourth time. The project, which aims to improve the campus and its use by involving students in decision-making, was funded with 14 000 eur from the university's budget.

There were plenty of ideas. The project organisers went through all the ideas, and selected four of them for further voting. Students were able to vote on the winning proposals in November. A total of around 400 votes were submitted and the winning proposal was for massage chairs for the campus.

Students wanted the campus to offer more opportunities to relax during the day. Banishing fatigue and having a little wellbeing moment helps to reduce stress and increase wellbeing, as well as improving mood and learning outcomes.

The winning idea will be implemented on campus during spring-summer 2025. The project will allow for the implementation of an estimated 2-3 massage chairs.
