'We are happy to gain a professor of practice from the very top of Finland’s civil service to supplement the expertise held by the Helsinki GSE. Hetemäki’s professorship will significantly enhance the societal impact of the Helsinki GSE,' states Jari Niemelä, rector of the University of Helsinki.

'As I have previously publicly stated, assuming the position of professor of practice would be an interesting new challenge. It is great to get to tackle that challenge in the research community of the Helsinki GSE,' says Martti Hetemäki.
