Logging in to Sisu changes: important information for Open University students

Viewing your results and downloading a transcript of records from the Sisu student information system will in the future require extra authentication. Read below how to proceed.

As an Open University student you can view your results and download a digitally signed transcript of records from the Sisu student information system sisu.aalto.fi. To improve information security, Multifactor Authentication (MFA) will be introduced in Sisu as of 18.1.2022.

Students using Sisu from outside the Aalto network will no longer be able to log in to Sisu with just their Aalto user ID. In addition, they will have to authenticate themselves by a further authentication process using their smart phone.

What the student needs to do?

Download the Microsoft Authenticator application to your smart phone, and register it with your phone number or email address. Please read further information on Multifactor Authentication and using the app (instructions on the page now apply to Sisu as well). If you cannot utilize the application, please read about alternative authentication methods.

If you need help, please contact Aalto IT Services.

Learning new things continues after graduation

Aalto graduates’ transition to working life and their experience of studies and careers are monitored annually through a career monitoring survey. The responses to the survey provide important information about the work life of graduates, both for current students and for young people considering their future studies. In addition, the information collected is used to develop Aalto University’s teaching and services.
