Library services of Learning Centre beta moving in October

The library services move from 10 October to the Learning Centre (Otaniementie 9). It takes place in phases.

Schedule

  • Week 41 (10–16 Oct): All collections are moved to the Learning Centre, except course books. Customer service is available as usual.
  • Week 42 (17–23 Oct): Learning Centre beta is open for the final day on Thu, 20 Oct until 6 pm.
  • Week 43 (24 Oct): Learning Centre beta is closed for good.

Customer service

During the move we serve at Civil and Environmental Engineering Library, (street address: Rakentajanaukio 4 A):

  • Fri 21 Oct, 9am-3pm
  • Mon 24 Oct, 9am-6pm
  • Tue–Thu 25–27 Oct, 9am-4pm
  • Fri 28 Oct, 9am-3pm

Other offices of the library are open as usual during the move.

Reserved books can be picked up from Learning Centre be until 20 Oct. After that they can be borrowed at Civil and Environmental Engineering Library until 28 Oct.

During 12–18 Oct some of the services are offline due to the merger of Arabia Campus Library and Alli databases. Borrowing and returning books is possible only during customer service hours.

Learning new things continues after graduation

Aalto graduates’ transition to working life and their experience of studies and careers are monitored annually through a career monitoring survey. The responses to the survey provide important information about the work life of graduates, both for current students and for young people considering their future studies. In addition, the information collected is used to develop Aalto University’s teaching and services.
