Friend of our school, write in our Friend book!
Remember the Friend book from your youth? The pages were filled with devotion, by careful handwriting, considering the answers carefully. Who was your best friend? Poems were also made, and, of course, a picture was important!
Our virtual friend book has now opened on the School of Arts, Design and Architecture's Instagram account @aaltoarts. It is meant for common joy, to be shared with our entire community. Whether you are a student, alumni, teacher, partner or our follower, fill in the book your experience and memories.
The Friend book is part of the anniversary year of the School of Arts, Design and Architecture. This year, we are celebrating the 150th anniversary of our School and we are bringing our community together to celebrate in different ways, within pandemic constraints. We celebrate all our fields as well as our entire community – you have been invited!
You can copy the Friend book template on Instagram, fill it in, share the template on your own Instagram account – and tag your friends. On the template you can sketch your self-portrait, name your superpower, and share your most important learning and funniest memories.
You can tag @aaltoarts or send us the completed template in a private message if you want us to share the completed friend book.
The Friend book was ideated by visual communication design students Milena Rinne and Hanna-Kaisa Eskelinen, who also created the visual look of the anniversary year. There will also be a printed Friend book in fall.
You can find the Friend book on Instagram at our account – fill in, share, participate!
