On 27 February 2024, Assistant Professor Jaana Vapaavuori hosted a breakfast event to catalyze all kinds of diversities, in conjunction with the U.N. Day of Women and Girls in Science. 'When you disagree or feel defensive, it鈥檚 important to really try to hear what the other person is saying. That requires empathy. If disciplines have different languages, it鈥檚 easy to talk past each other.'
