The Aalto Alumni Strategy Circle After Works unites strategy professionals and business leaders for interactive sessions exploring the most current topics around strategy. These gatherings foster learning and idea exchange between international academics and local professionals, facilitating valuable insights and networking opportunities.
The Strategy Circle meets 3-5 times a year. The events are open for all Aalto alumni who are interested in sharing and gaining insights on strategy. The next one will be in autumn.

鈥淚 participated in the event because sustainability is directly linked to my own work and our company strategy. I joined because I wanted to get out of my silo and hear what others think, learn from their insights, and hear also best practices from market runners in coal-intensive market鈥, says Tiia Pirttimaa, Aalto alumna and Business Development Manager from Caverion. She participated in the after work event that shared insights on sustainability and strategy.
"The plan is to have an event about every three months, always involving both the academic and practitioner side and an opportunity for discussion, exchanging ideas and best practices, and networking鈥, explains Jens Schmidt, a strategy professor and the head of the Department of Industrial Engineering and Management. He co-initiated the strategy circle and facilitates the events.
