Aalto University’s biggest annual exhibition
Designs for a Cooler Planet presents nearly 20 hands-on projects by Aalto University’s students and researchers across disciplines. This year, the exhibition highlights acts of change through new materials, better building, and novel ways of living and learning. Step into a world where biowaste turns into glitter in classrooms, dementia risk detectors break new ground, and Nokia’s untold design stories are brought to light.
On view for nearly two months at Marsio, Otakaari 2, from 5 September to 28 October 2025.

Aalto ARTS Grad Show 2025
Explore the inspiring work of our graduating students in architecture, design, film, art and media!

The exhibition, held 4 Sept – 28 Oct at Ventura Studio, Espoo, reimagines our shared future with the Baltic Sea.

Living Panels: Reimagining Materials with Nature
The exhibition showcases design artefacts that reimagine how we work with living and post-living systems, offering new ways to think about sustainability through partnerships with the more-than-human world. These student-led projects explore how design objects can evolve, adapt, and participate in ecological processes beyond human needs.
These projects are a result of "BioMakerStudio Summer Course" - a cross-institutional collaboration between Aalto University and IAAC (Institute for Advanced Architecture of Catalonia) - supported by the EU-funded COCOON Project.

Love Letters to Our Clothes
1–18 Sept at Beta SPACE Gallery in Helsinki, the exhibition invites visitors to reflect on their emotional connection to clothing.
