Aalto University, the University of Helsinki, the University of the Arts Helsinki and Hanken School of Economics are strengthening their collaboration to expand opportunities for language study. Established in 2025, the Network for Language Centre Pedagogy, Teaching and Research (KiePe) offers students at all four universities the opportunity to take language courses at each of these partner universities in the Helsinki Metropolitan Area.

As part of planning our collaboration, we are conducting a survey to assess student interest in language study, identify obstacles to participation and develop our network in line with student wishes. The survey takes around 10 minutes to complete and includes questions on respondents’ current and previous language studies as well as associated wishes. The survey does not collect student feedback on individual courses.

The survey consists of both multiple-choice and open-ended questions. No names or contact details are collected from respondents. Responses are treated confidentially, and individual respondents cannot be identified in the reporting. Respondents may, if they wish, opt out of having their open-ended responses used in reporting; this is asked separately in the questionnaire. A privacy statement is provided on the first page. Participation is entirely voluntary, and you may withdraw at any time before submitting your responses.
