Riikka Kangaslampi receives teaching prize award

University Lecturer Kangaslampi received the award by the School of Science for organising mathematics camps for upper secondary school pupils.

Pupils in the first and second year of upper secondary school have been given the opportunity to learn about the significance of mathematics skills at weekend camps organised in the autumn, a time when the pupils are planning for the future and deciding on their further studies. The courses have given young people stimulating information on geometry and discrete mathematics with the help of several Aalto University researchers.

Kangaslampi received the recognition at the school's annual SCI Teaching Gala.
