Excellent Bachelor’s students in business or economics awarded scholarships
Ilkka Kontula Foundation personal scholarships are worth 1 000 euros
The Ilkka Kontula Foundation awards annual merit-based grants to students at both the School of Business and the Faculty of Law at the University of Helsinki. Ilkka Kontula, who passed away in 2012, had made a bequest in his will with the aim of making students’ daily lives easier. He himself had studied at both the Helsinki School of Economics and the University of Helsinki.
The Foundation awards merit-based grants to our top-performing students pursuing a Bachelor Programme in Business Administration (Kauppatieteiden kandidaattiohjelma), Economics or International Business based on their grade point average. Recipients must also have earned at least 80 credits during their first three semesters of study.
In 2026, the following 75 students will receive a €1,000 grant and a diploma from the Ilkka Kontula Foundation:
