Babak Presents Sustainable E-Textiles Innovation at International Conference in France

Babak Abdi, a PhD scholar from Aalto University, presented his latest research at E-Textiles 2025, the 7th International Conference on the Challenges, Opportunities, Innovations and Applications in Electronic Textiles. The conference was held from 12鈥14 November at ENSAIT 鈥 University of Lille in Roubaix, France, bringing together leading experts and researchers from across the globe.

Babak delivered a presentation titled 鈥淒eveloping High-Performance, Eco-Friendly E-Textiles Using Carbon-Based and Bio-Based Techniques,鈥 where he highlighted innovative pathways for creating sustainable electronic textiles. His work focuses on combining carbon-based materials with bio-derived components to produce high-performance, environmentally responsible e-textile solutions鈥攁ddressing one of the major challenges in the rapidly growing smart textiles sector. 

The research was conducted under the supervision of , group leader of the Textile Chemistry Group at Aalto University. Together, they aim to push forward the integration of sustainability in next-generation electronic textiles.
