The Unite! Visiting Professorship Programme aims to attract outstanding international scholars and promote interdisciplinary teaching and educational innovation through global exchange. The programme is open to all subjects represented at The appointment is expected to run during the lecture period from 1 October 2026 to 31 January 2027.
Who should apply
The programme is intended for experienced postdoctoral researchers with a relevant terminal degree, teaching experience, and strong academic expertise.
Visiting professors will undertake a flexible combination of teaching and research activities, including:
- Teaching at least one course (or several courses) totalling four semester hours (one semester hour = 45 minutes) per week within a TU Graz programme.
- Advising or supervising advanced students.
- Developing joint research projects in collaboration with faculty members.
The format and content of the courses, as well as the research objectives, will be agreed upon with the host institution. This process will consider both the needs of TU Graz and the grantee’s expertise and interests.
Funding
The positions are fully funded by TU Graz for the winter semester 2026/27 and are intended to cover the entire semester. Visiting professors will be employed by TU Graz for the duration of their appointment and will receive a monthly gross salary of €6,968.20 under an employment contract.

Selection process
If a match is found, the institute head at TU Graz will formally submit the application by 15 March. The selection of funded visiting professorships will be announced by the end of March 2026.
