An inspection of the study environment of Aalto university's campuses

A statutory inspection of the health, safety and well-being of the study environment is carried out in higher education institutions every three years. This year, there will be a single inspection for the whole Aalto University. The Finnish Student Health Service (FSHS) has the coordination responsibility. The inspections are carried out in cooperation with the students, the university staff and the municipality's health inspector.
The inspection includes a well-being survey sent to all students. The answers to the survey give important information on how the students are doing in the student communities. The students answer the survey anonymously and then automatically receive feedback and instructions based on their answers. The answers are used to create a report for FSHS healthcare professionals, University and student representatives. The report will be utilized both locally and nationally. This study environment inspection focuses on issues such as do students have time to eat between lectures, does the university environment support the possibility of physical activity and do the students experience inappropriate treatment within the student communities. Issues that need development may be related to themes such as a safe studying environment or a framework for organizing studies.
FSHS invites all students to answer the well-being questionnaire as part of the inspection 27.3.-11.4.2023, when is open. Students will receive a link to the survey also in AYY’s newsletter by e-mail.
