Aalto University Summer School offers more courses than ever for the upcoming summer. Especially the offering of undergraduate studies is more significant, and combining multiple intensive courses during a short period is quick and easy.

The undergraduate course selection is divided into two sessions of two weeks (24.7.-4.8. and 7.-18.8) with two blocks for each session. To get the most out of the course curriculum, students can choose one course per block and attend four intensive courses during four weeks. The undergraduate courses are worth 2 ECTS each. See the schedule for the undergraduate course sessions here.

Aalto University Summer School combines the academic course experience with challenge-based learning and multidisciplinary pedagogics. The students can widen their international networks and get to know the best of Finnish summer, Helsinki and the close-by areas through fun social programme and cultural excursions.

This year’s topics include undergraduate and graduate courses in Cybersecurity, Radical Creativity, Sustainable Design, Self-Leadership, Nordic Biomaterials, Digital Business, Virtual Reality, Game Design and much more. For example, the brand-new undergraduate course in game design brings together the technical and artistic aspects of game design and allows students to experiment with their own ideas.

In turn, the Digital Business graduate course has been running for years and is included in the curriculum for both spring and summer 2023. It focuses on digital technologies as tools for building businesses and includes real business cases from partnering companies. The graduate courses are also suitable for professionals.

The courses are open to students and lifewide learners from all over the world, and during the summer of 2022, Summer School welcomed students from no less than 25 different countries on the Aalto University campus.
