Frequently asked questions
You can decide to participate only to the Act of Conferment.
You cannot participate only to the Conferment Dinner.
Promovends:
- Act: max 3 guests. We aim at placing at least one guest/promovend in Kaleva hall, the other guests should be prepared to follow the streaming in Lumituuli.
- Dinner: one avec. No exceptions.
Honorary and jubilee doctors:
- Act: max 3 guests.
- Dinner: one avec.
PMT and invited guests: one avec both at act and dinner.
Professors and staff: no avecs at act, one avec at dinner.
Avec can be partner, family member, friend or colleague.

Therefore, since 2019, the traditional ecumenical service was replaced by the Moment of reflection. The moment of reflection consists of acoustic music and inspiring texts from different cultures and thinkers and it suitable for members of all religions as well as for atheists and agnostics. Together, we stop for a while to reflect on themes of wisdom, human growth and love.
