Ceremonial Conferment general programme
The Ceremonial conferment is a festive event that has long-standing traditions at Aalto University. Every student who completed their doctoral degree in technology between 1 May 2024 and 30 April 2026 is invited to participate in the 2026 Ceremonial Conferment. The right to participate is a one-time possibility.
Please notice that this is a preliminary programme: the events and the timetables may still slightly change.

The traditional ballroom dances that are an essential portion of the conferment tradition are the polonaise, cicapo, mignon and grande valse.
If you plan to participate in the dances, we recommend attending at least one of the rehearsal sessions. Attending a rehearsal will also give us an idea of how many dancers to expect, which is especially helpful in the case of the polonaise.
The ballroom dance rehearsals will be arranged at Dipoli, in Kaleva hall

- on Wednesday, 10.6. at 18:00–20:00
