The Bachelor's Programme in Design and Media fosters a multidisciplinary approach, encouraging students to explore intersections of art, media, and technology while building their identity as upcoming creative professionals and providing a comprehensive foundation.

Students at Aalto ARTS Summer School 2023

Admission to Bachelor's Programme in Design and Media, Bachelor and Master of Arts (3 yrs + 2 yrs)

The application period for Bachelor's Programme in Design and Media is from 7 to 22 January 2026. Studies start in August-September 2026. Applicants are selected to complete both the Bachelor and Master of Arts degrees. Admission to the Bachelor’s Programme in Design and Media is based on preliminary assignments, intake assignments, and an interview.

Doctoral programme in Arts, Design and Architecture

The main purpose of our doctoral education is to teach how to create new knowledge through scientific and artistic methods and theories. The doctoral programme is perfect for those seeking careers in art, design, film, media or architecture. A special feature of the programme is that the thesis can include art or design productions.
