RESPA: Reshaping Spatial Acoustics
RESPA – Reshaping Spatial Acoustics: Embodied Sound in AR Environments looks into human-technology relations of acoustics in AR environments through cross-disciplinary collaboration. For us, philosophical and empirical aesthetic theories form a joint speculative approach that builds hypotheses on sound and the auditive dimension of the human-technology coupling in contemporary lifeworlds. RESPA challenges the existing research paradigms by bringing conceptual and empirical approaches to the study and production of aesthetics in human–technologized environments relations. So far, aestheticians and engineers have conducted their separate research projects, albeit understanding the unique features of designing sound in the context of AR requires a much more combined approach.
