Wedding on campus
The Otaniemi campus is a place where many work and study, but for the alumni couple Tuomas and Inka, it is much more. They got married on the campus of which they have many fond memories from the time that they studied bioinformation technology.
‘We have pieced together that our paths first crossed in a lecture hall at Otakaari 5 at an orientation event for beginning students. I was there presenting the Inkubio Guild and Inka was spending her first day as a student. So we got married in a room that is similar to the one where we first met. The TUAS building was a space that was meaningful for us and therefore, completely natural choice’, says Tuomas. He also discusses the wedding ceremony itself:
‘The small, decorated TU2 hall was made to look very festive and sweet. The atmosphere at the wedding was relaxed. The guests actually managed to laugh out loud at the stories of our relationship. After the ceremony there was a cocktail event in the lobby of the TUAS Building where we were able to greet the guests properly and receive plenty of good wishes. The guests then travelled by bus to the actual wedding reception and Inka and I took an appropriately decorated automobile.’
Best wishes to the alumni couple!
