Kipsari restaurants (Väre and Studio) on the Otaniemi campus were chosen as the Campus Sustainability Champion 2022. The most important reason for the choice was that Kipsari offers only vegan food, which is a sustainable choice in terms of the climate. In addition, Kipsari acts as a pioneer for all campus restaurants in that vegan dishes can be tasty and popular. Kipsari's operation is also socially sustainable as a student-owned restaurant.

In addition, three sustainable campus honors were awarded on ACRE Day. Honorable mentions went to the Space21 concept, Sasha Spurná and the Bioblitz event on the Otaniemi campus.

Several proposals for the Campus Sustainability Champion were received this year as well, from which the Campus Sustainability team voted for the winner and the candidates who received an honorable mention. Last year, Otaniemi's linden alleys were chosen as the Campus Sustainability Champion.
