Two Jussi Awards for Aalto people
Rauno Ronkainen and Anna Vilppunen recognized with Finland's highest honor in film.
On March 23, Aalto University associate professor Rauno Ronkainen and alumna Anna Vilppunen were presented with Jussi Awards for excellence in film. Rauno received a Jussi for Cinematography for the film Itikie. Anna won a Jussi for her costume design in the 2017 Tom of Finland film. The Jussi is the one of the highest honors that can be bestowed on a Finnish film.
The Jussi Awards are Finland's most prestigious film industry event, the equivalent of an Academy Award in Hollywood and one of the oldest film awards in Europe. Each year, the Jussi ceremony recognizes top achievements in Finnish filmmaking.
