Tanzanian president visits Aalto University

President Kikwete also meets some startup entrepreneurs and students.

President of the United Republic of Tanzania Jakaya Mrisho Kikwete with his entourage visited Aalto University on 2 June as part of a state visit to Finland. President Kikwete was briefed on a number of activities, including the innovation activities and the teaching of entrepreneurship at Aalto University.

The delegation also visited the Design Factory and Startup Sauna where the delegation met with startup entrepreneurs and students from Aalto University.

Aalto University Provost Ilkka Niemelä welcomes Tanzanian President Jakaya Mrisho Kikwete.

In Startup Sauna, Perttu Karjalainen from EntoCube company presented the idea of farming crickets for food. The president was interested and asked, if it is possible to farm also other insects in the container.
