Shortcut AALTO opens an inspiring and modern salon in renewed A Blanc

The original Shortcut hair salon was founded approximately 30 years ago in Tapiola, Espoo. The core concept has remained the same over the years: high quality service and upscale and cosy salons. Now the fourth Shortcut salon, Shortcut AALTO, is opening its doors in the renewed shopping centre A Blanc.

The atmospheric new salon will be located in Otaniemi's legendary 鈥渙ld shopping centre鈥, whose modernisation is soon approaching its completion. The classic building, designed by the renowned architect Alvar Aalto, has been recently renamed A Blanc.

Shortcut AALTO will be an oasis of modern style where science, aesthetics and skills meet. Inspired by Otaniemi's modern architecture, the salon welcomes students and university staff as well as people from nearby companies and homes.

Similar to our other salons, we want Shortcut AALTO to be the preferred choice for quality-conscious customers from Otaniemi and around 鈥 attracted by professional service, an enjoyable moment of relaxation in the middle of a busy day, and of course unparalleled hairstyles,鈥 says Maria Mattsson, who has become the main entrepreneur of the family business over the recent years.

Like other Shortcut salons, Shortcut AALTO offers versatile and high-quality barber and hairdressing services, from fast express haircuts to demanding multi-colouring and festive hairstyles.

Otaniemi's new salon will open its doors in July and appointments can already be booked via Shortcut鈥檚 website. Aalto University students and staff receive a 15% discount on services and qualifying products (student or staff card required). The aim is also to create company-specific benefit programs with companies in the vicinity.
