School of Electrical Engineering was awarded thirteen new Academy projects

The Academy of Finland’s Research Council for Natural Sciences and Engineering has granted over 6 million euros for projects in the fields of health technology, wireless communication, smart devices and energy systems, for example.

The School of Electrical Engineering's researchers were exceptionally succesful in the Academy of Finland’s funding call. The Research Council for Natural Sciences and Engineering has granted over 6 million euros for thirteen school's projects in the fields of health technology, wireless communication, smart devices and energy systems, for example. Funding decisions placed particular emphasis on the quality, feasibility, novelty value and potential for breakthroughs in research. A total of EUR 45.7 million was granted by the Commission for 78 Academy projects, with an acceptance rate of 15%.
