New podcast explores Finnish contributions to artificial intelligence

In Aalto University's podcast 鈥淛a ihminen loi 盲lyn鈥 (And humankind created intelligence), researchers Arno Solin ja Eric Malmi interview pioneers, entrepreneurs and experts about the AI field's history, disruptive consequences and the probability of humanity's destruction.

In Aalto's new podcast, Finnish movers and shakers in AI explore language models, robotics and intelligence and reveal how research from Finland has ended up in systems that are revolutionizing our lives. AI researchers Arno Solin ja Eric Malmi interview entrepreneurs, long-time veterans of AI development and researchers who have worked for tech giants. How likely is civilization's destruction, how is AI changing humanity and in which direction is AI developing?

In the first episode (in Finnish), researcher and entrepreneur Harri Valpola claims that artificial general intelligence is already here, discusses challenges in robotics and considers how the benefits of AI can be evenly distributed. The third and fourth episodes (in English) feature former OpenAI researcher Katarina Slama and NYU professor and Aalto University alumnus Kyunghyun Cho.
