New Academy Research Fellows and Academy Projects

A total of 44 Aalto researchers received Academy Research Fellowship and Academy Project funding from the Research Council of Finland – congratulations to all! Find below all new Academy Research Fellows and Academy Projects at Aalto

Overall, Aalto University's researchers succeeded extremely well in the Research Council of Finland's 2025 winter call. This autumn, 20 new Academy Research Fellows will start at Aalto. Also, the university's researchers are involved in 20 different research projects. The total amount of funding awarded by the Research Council will strengthen Aalto University’s research with EUR 26,3 million.

Both Academy Research Fellow and Academy Project grants are for four years.

FITech's new FITech FORWARD project aims to develop the member universities’ ability to create offerings of continuous learning and micro-credentials to meet the current skill needs in the field of technology. Besides Aalto University, also Tampere University, University of Oulu, and University of Vaasa are involved in the project.
