Typically, people aim to avoid problems. An entrepreneur or intrapreneur, an employed person with the entrepreneurial mindset, in turn, faces problems head-on and sees them as opportunities.

Radical creativity is the fuel in the engine of entrepreneurship.

Aalto University has unique DNA in terms of both creativity and the entrepreneurial mindset.

Also, our arts school ranks among the top ten global universities in the field of arts and design, and it demonstrates the tremendous capability of the Aalto community to think in new and innovative ways.

However, the Aalto community would benefit a great deal from better-structured incentives and support for risk-taking.

Also, it would be great to incentivise people to take risks and to celebrate and learn from failure, to inoculate our community against the more traditional bureaucratic way of thinking aligned around trying to avoid making mistakes.
