Foundation for Economic Education donates EUR 1.3 million ɫɫÀ²

The donation is directed towards research and education in business and economics.

Aalto University has received a donation to the amount of EUR 1.3 million for research and education in business and economics from the Foundation for Economic Education (Liikesivistysrahasto). The Foundation granted a total of EUR 2.5 million to ten Finnish universities.

The criteria for the donation was success in research, societal impact measured by the total number of graduates and doctors, and donations for the Foundation received from fields of the universities concerned during the last 15 years.  

‘By this donation, the Foundation for Economic Education wishes to enable research and education in business and economics that is high in standard and socially influential’, states Johanna Vesterinen, CEO of the Foundation.

‘The Foundation for Economic Education has supported teaching and research at the School of Business for a period of almost 100 years, and has been a very close partner for us. We would like to thank the Foundation for this significant donation, by which means we can continue the development of research and education in business and economics also in the future,’ states Ingmar Björkman, Dean of Aalto University School of Business.
