FITech offers free online studies – learn about the business opportunities offered by blockchain

On the new online courses by FITech Network University, you can explore the business opportunities of blockchain or take your own digital stride forward by learning the basics of programming, data and applications. The courses are offered by Aalto University and you can study them at your own pace.

FITech Network University has published the free FITech 101 range of online courses that encompass the operating principles of everyday software and applications. At the end of September, the English-language Blockchain Business Applications course was added to the course offering.

From the FITech 101 range of courses, anyone can select the ones that are suitable for them. Courses are implemented as Massive Open Online Courses (MOOC), so you can study anywhere, any time. Starting your studies has been made as easy as possible, as completing the courses requires only an Internet browser. In addition, there is no separate application process, so you are free to start your studies straight away.

The courses are ideal for those who have moved on to working life or further studies, and thousands of students have already started their studies.

Blockchain technology can be used for many purposes

Did you know that you can flexibly apply blockchain technology for many different purposes and achieve significant business benefits?

The Blockchain Business Applications course explores the basics of blockchain technology, its business ecosystem and the basics of the different business models. You also learn about the role and opportunities of blockchain technology within the changes taking place in the business sphere, and the course gives consideration to ethical and environmental perspectives as well. The course is self-paced and is implemented in English.

FITech 101: Digi & Data – Update your digital skills

Through the studies, you can take your first steps in programming, familiarise yourself with the management of data and information, or learn the basic principles of how the Internet operates.

The courses offer a comprehensive cross-section of the core digital skills needed in almost any field, and they can also serve as the foundation for moving on to more advanced studies. The courses are taught in Finnish.

It takes an estimated 54 hours to complete 2 ECTS. In addition to the study credits, participants can also receive a Linkedin badge confirming their new, updated skills. Furthermore, several extra courses are due to be added during 2020‒2021.
