The Hawaii International Conference on System Sciences (HICSS) is an annual conference for Information Systems and Information Technology academics and professionals. HICSS is widely considered to be among the most prestigious international conferences for IS/IT in the world.

ISPIM - the International Society for Professional Innovation Management - is an association of members from research, industry, consulting and the public sector. Currently it organises three international innovation events per year, in Europe, the Americas and Asia-Pacific. CKIR researchers participate each year in the ISPIM events. In summer 2013 CKIR organised the conference in Helsinki, together with University of Lappeenranta.
