Art for All festival returns in August

The cross-artistic festival will take place 26.-28.8.2022 in the Helsinki Botanical Garden. The event features pieces from performing arts to installations and audiovisual works.

Art students and alumni from Aalto ARTS and UniArts are organizing an art festival! Art For All Festival will take place 26.-28.8.2022 in the Helsinki Botanical Garden. The cross-artistic festival features pieces from performing arts to installations and audiovisual works. There is an open call for artists to participate in the festival. ART FOR ALL RY

Art For All ry is a community of artists that aims to strengthen cross-artistic collaboration, support artists in the beginning of their careers and promote accessibility of art. The organization has been started by art students and alumni from both the University of the Arts and Aalto University.

OPEN CALL FOR ARTISTS

Art For All is organizing an open call for artists to the festival. The artists will be selected after the deadline on 16.6.2022 after which their works will be developed and placed on the festival site. The artists will have time to prepare their work during July and August. During this time the working groups will be provided with support from the festival team and a chance to collaborate with the researchers of the Botanical Garden and University of Helsinki.           

GARDEN RESIDENCY

During 19.8.-26.8.2022 the artists will work and build up their pieces in the garden. The artists will be provided with working spaces and material, technical and curatorial support. The working process of the artists is an important part of the event. While working in the garden the artists will learn from each other and get inspired by the scientific research of the garden. The festival opening will be held on Friday 26.8. and the exhibition will be open throughout the weekend.
