Art Directors Club of Europe rewarded our alumnus

Tom of Finland stamp booklet designed by Design agency BOTH took second place in the ADC*E competition.

Won graphic design gold prize (Kultahuippu) in Vuoden Huiput 2014 competition

Last weekend was celebration for European design and marketing communication in Barcelona. In total 180 rewards were given to different European agencies and designers. Finnish designers and agencies were rewarded: Tom of Finland stamp booklet won graphic design silver and both Kyrö Distillery Company and Design Museum got honourable mention for visual identity.

Design agency BOTH has been responsible for the design of Tom of Finland stamp booklet, which was chosen the second best graphic design in the Art Directors Club of Europe competition. The AD of BOTH Timo Berry has also been rewarded for the best graphic design in the competition called Vuoden Huiput 2014. Berry has graduated from the former University of Art and Design Helsinki where he has also been a teacher.

The visual identity of Kyrö Distillery Company is designed by Werklig agency while the visual identity of Design Museum is designed by BOND agency. Both agencies are founded by our alumnus and got honourable mention for visual identity in the section of the Corporate brand identity.

Moreover 16 young designers had the chance to present one of their projects in front of the festival audience in the Creativity Festival Talent show, which was part of the main competition. Our alumni Antti Grundstén was invited to Barcelona to tell about his visual design for the program of YLE called Kioski.

Vuoden Huiput

Grafia's Vuoden Huiput is one of the most significant marketing communication and design competitions in Finland. The competition was founded in 1980 by the designers themselves.
