Apply ɫɫÀ² Digital Creatives pre-incubator programme 1.1.-14.2.2024

The programme seeks applicants from a creative industry background. The application period for our fifth programme is 1.1.2024 to 14.2.2024, and the programme will run from March to June.

Over the course of 13 weeks, participants in the programme will acquire skills in business idea development and protection, gain networking opportunities, and practice delivering compelling pitches to diverse audiences. 

The programme seeks applicants from a creative industry background. This application period is 1.1.2024 to 14.2.2024, and the programme will run from March to June.

Potential business ideas for the programme encompass a wide range of topics, including:  

  • new methods and formats for audiovisual storytelling 
  • technology enhanced art, design, and entertainment  
  • augmentation of human creativity through computational methods  
  • creation of novel interactive experiences  
  • platforms for and by the creative industries 
     

Applications are accepted from individuals or teams with a business idea where creativity meets digital technology. Previous business experience is not required. The selection process evaluates the business idea’s potential for further development, the solution it provides and how it shapes a sustainable future. The teams work on-site in Otaniemi.

This is the fifth pre-incubator program by Aalto Digital Creatives. Aalto University launched the Aalto Digital Creatives pre-incubator programme in March 2022, with the goal of helping creative industry students, researchers and practitioners on their path towards entrepreneurship. 

The Aalto Digital Creatives pre-incubator program is part of the Campus Incubators network formed by seven higher education institutions and supported by the City of Helsinki. In Aalto University the program is coordinated by Aalto Startup Center and Aalto Studios.

Scientific conclusions depend on who performs the analysis

More than 450 independent researchers from around the world conducted over 500 re-analyses of datasets from one hundred previously published studies in the social and behavioural sciences. All analysts received the same data and the same central research question, but they were free to carry out the analysis based on their own expert judgment.
