Aalto University Foundation has divested the properties at Lämpömiehenkuja 2, Lämpömiehenkuja 3, Tekniikantie 3 and Maarintie 6 to eQ Hoivakiinteistöt special investment portfolio on 6 June 2019.

The purpose of the divestment is to free tied-up capital for research, teaching, digitalization as well as campus development. The decision is part of the campus strategy agreed in 2015, according to which the university will focus its activities on the centre of the campus in Otaniemi. The properties are located outside the core campus area.

Activities in the premises remain unchanged

Aalto University has signed a lease agreement for parts of the premises of Tekniikantie 3 and Maarintie 6. As a result of the lease, Aalto's operations in the premises will continue as normal. Other tenants of the buildings also continue to operate in the properties.

The gross floor area of the properties is approximately 6450 square metres at Lämpömiehenkuja 2, approximately 4020 square metres at Lämpömiehenkuja 3, approximately 3390 square metres at Tekniikantie 3 and approximately 9230 square metres Maarintie 6.
