ModerninArvo project affects debate on fate of modern buildings
The main individual sector in creating a carbon-neutral Finland is renovation construction. The surge in demolition and replacement of young building stock and entire areas through carbon-intensive construction is problematic for sustainability. The ModerninArvo project aims at finding solutions to the continued shrinking of the life cycles of architecture, and the renovation and re-use of the architecture from recent decades.
