40 year old Oskari Vilamo Fund awarded the best theses on building trade

The Oskari Vilamo fund, which is part of the Business Education fund, awarded the best doctoral theses and diploma theses in November. The fund is celebrating its 40th anniversary this year. One doctoral dissertation and six master's thesis were awarded in Aalto University.

New research: Reliable electricity can no longer be taken for granted 鈥 the green transition may require fossil fuel as backup

Although Finland's electricity system has been exceptionally reliable, this may not necessarily be the case in the future. A recent study by Aalto University warns that without further investment in flexible production and demand management, the security of the electricity supply could deteriorate significantly as early as the 2030s.
