Postdoctoral researchers for House of AI

The House of AI is looking for postdoctoral researchers working on the development and use of AI methods in other sciences.

The House of AI at Aalto University is a new center for multidisciplinary research in the use of artificial intelligence in other areas of science and technology. The mode of operation of the center is to have a strong interaction between basic research in computer science and the applications in other areas. The research themes are selected on the basis of scientific excellence, the potential industrial or other societal impact, and the potential of the use of AI in the selected areas. The first themes are AI in the analysis and design of the electric energy system, AI in data communications, and AI in the development of sustainability solutions for the manufacturing industry. The center is starting its operations in early 2024. The funding of the House of AI comes from Aalto University, private foundations, and industry.

 The House of AI is looking for postdoctoral researchers working on the development and use of AI methods in other sciences. The candidates are expected to have a Ph.D. in a relevant area and interesting publications. We are looking for people who have expertise in data analysis, algorithms, databases, or AI, and who have interest in developing methods in combination with exciting applications in other sciences. Good command of English is needed.

In this call, special focus is on researchers interested in working on issues related to data analysis and AI in the energy systems.
