We are delighted to invite you to the Quantum Optics Workshop in Lapland. This event offers a unique opportunity to exchange ideas with leading researchers and peers in an inspiring Arctic environment.
The workshop will feature lectures by invited speakers from top Nordic universities, alongside contributed talks and poster sessions by participants. Set in Kilpisjärvi—Finland’s northernmost gem—this gathering combines scientific excellence with the serene beauty of the Arctic nature.
In addition to the scientific program, participants can enjoy leisure activities such as trekking through untouched landscapes, exploring Sámi culture, and experiencing Arctic adventures under the spellbinding northern lights.
General Information
- Mini-courses — 2-3 × 90 min, 4-6 courses
- Student Spotlights — 15 min presentation + 5 min discussion
- Poster session — 2 hours
- Flight to Kittilä, and bus transfer to the biological station
- Accommodation at Kilpisjarvi Biological Station (max 44 people) and Kilpisjarvi Hiking Center
- Bus transfer back to Kittilä for the return
- Visa letters, participation certificate
- Full audiovisual setup and support
