Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools – such as generative AI with Large Language Models – are quickly reshaping research-related work. While they can improve and fasten different parts of the research process, they also pose new important questions regarding their ethical use in research work and potential risks when it comes to responsible conduct of research as well as data security. In this workshop, we will explore the current scenarios of AI tools available to researchers, and share transparently how we are already using them in our daily work. We will end with some consideration on the responsible use of generative AI in research and the related ethical issues.
Who can participate?
The workshop is aimed at researchers who are interested in an introduction to AI in research work and responsible conduct of research. The session offers a broad overview of the topic rather than providing details on any discipline-specific solutions. No prior knowledge of AI is required.

In person only:
12:30 – 13:30 (60 min) Workshop: How do you use AI in your research work? A collaborative workshop for sharing best practices. Group work with 3–5 participants, in person only.
