Counselling for doctoral students on study related issues

Doctoral education services offers doctoral students personal counselling on issues related to their studies or research. When puzzling questions or challenges arise, the counselling helps you move forward and supports you in progressing your studies and research. The counsellor is Sonja Kniivilä.

From the autumn term 2026 onwards, doctoral students will have the opportunity to receive personal study counselling from Doctoral Education Services. Contrary to previous information, the counselling will be available from the second week of November onwards. It will be available on Thursdays from 14.15 to 17.00.

The counsellor is Sonja Kniivilä. You can meet her in person either on campus or remotely via Teams.

At first, you can contact Sonja directly by email (sonja.kniivila@aalto.fi). Later this autumn appointments can be booked via a separate booking system. Further information will be updated on this page.
