Severi Uusitalo is an industrial designer, interested in computational creativity and its potential in product design. His published research and exhibitions involve e.g., genetic algorithms and GenAI. Prior to joining Aalto he has been in the industry, involved with design, research and leadership positions. He is also a Senior University Lecturer at Aalto ARTS, lecturing both there and in ENG and SCI. Head of Collaborative and Industrial Design MA major for 6 yrs (on a research leave from that position for the 2026-27 study year).
