Kirsti Taiviola is a visual artist whose practice explores glass, light, and space as means of investigating perception, materiality, and spatial experience. Her work engages with glass both as a material and as a cultural and historical phenomenon, drawing on its material properties, craft traditions, and histories of making. She works across object, installation, and projected image, using diverse approaches to glass that range from material and process-based experimentation to handmade lenses and light projections. Taiviola is a Lecturer in Glass at the Department of Design.
