Tiago Martins Pinto
Tiago Martins Pinto (b. 1985, Porto, Portugal) is a media arts lecturer, art-based researcher and multimedia artist based in Helsinki, Finland. He is a doctoral candidate in Art Education at Aalto University in the Department of Art and Media, where his research explores STEAM education, and informal pedagogies as tools for promoting social justice and educational equity in youth centers.
Tiago’s artistic practice focuses on video and installation, addressing themes such as otherness, identity, and social exclusion. His work critically examines power structures, social elitism, and youth empowerment through media and participatory practices. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Multimedia from the Polytechnic Institute of Bragança and a Master’s degree in Contemporary Art Creation from the University of Aveiro, Portugal.
