Floran Martin, Postdoctoral Researcher

'I’m working as Postdoctoral Researcher in the Department of Electrical Engineering and Automation, mainly investigating anomalous additional iron losses in electrical rotating machines. Besides the research, instructing PhD students is part of my everyday work.
I had originally prepared my Master’s thesis in the same department, so I was extremely happy to receive a post-doctoral position here.
In addition to the high scientific quality of the professors, the social interactions within our teams are, in my opinion, the most appreciated feature to conduct research in Aalto. Practicing mathematics, analyzing physics, and developing experimental investigations are usually easier in a nice atmosphere!'
