English-taught bachelor's programmes - I am applying with an EB Diploma

Read here the instructions for applying with an International Baccalaureate (EB) diploma to English-taught bachelor’s programmes at Aalto University in the fields of science and technology or business and economics, as well as Bachelor’s Programme in Technology, Business and Design.

If you apply on the basis of your European Baccalaureate (EB) Diploma, you apply to the English-taught bachelor’s programmes at Aalto University in the admission round B. Fill in the application form for admission round B during the admission period 7 to 22 January 2027. 

Please note that any European high school diploma does not qualify for the . The European Baccalaureate is a special programme and only students who have studied at a school that participates in the European Baccalaureate programmes can be awarded an EB diploma. The EB diploma can only be completed in specific European Schools, or in .

17 December 2026 Bachelor’s Programme in Technology, Business and Design: preliminary assignment is published
7 January 2027 at 8am/8.00 (UTC+2) Application period starts

Application process step by step

  1. In addition to this page, read the important instructions for all applicants on page Apply to Bachelor's programmes in English.
  2. Check the application deadlines and required documents.
  3. Prepare the required documents.
  4. Fill in the application form for admission round B during the application period and provide the required documents by the given deadlines. Pay the  if required.
  5. Wait for the admission decision.
  6. Accept the admission offer if you are offered a study place.
  7. If you applied with an incomplete EB diploma (with your preliminary marks), provide the final diploma by the given deadline.

What EB subjects do I need to be admitted?

In the certificate-based admission, your certificate grades are scored according to the  (available on the site yliopistovalinnat.fi). 

The admission is competitive. The applicants are ranked on the basis of their total scores yielded by the certificate grades, and admitted to the programmes accordingly. 

When calculating your points, the combination of subjects for which you score the highest points is used. There is no specific required minimum score, but certain threshold criteria must be met.
