Due to COVID-19, our events are currently organized online. Before the pandemic, most of our events were taking place in the Living+ Hub located on Aalto campus at Rakentajanaukio 4, Espoo.

Integrating transport with other land uses: policy combinations and calibrations
An open lecture by the recently appointed Aalto University Professor Dominic Stead will be held online on the 14th of April, 2-3:30 pm EET (local Helsinki time). Prof. Stead will talk about his work on policy integration for transport and land use planning.

A guest lecture by Professor David Benjamin from Columbia University (US) and the co-founder of the innovative architecture & design studio "The Living" will be held online on the 11th of November, at 5pm EET (local time in Helsinki). Urban Lunch Hour -online seminar: Ageing Cities
Living+ Platform was hosting this month's Urban Lunch Hour (by Urbaria) with a topic "Ageing Cities". The seminar was co-organized with Helsinki Institute of Urban and Regional Studies / Urbaria and City of Helsinki's Urban Research and Statistics Unit. The event took place 20.10. 12-13:30 on Zoom.

From January 2020 onwards, Living+ Morning coffees gather Aalto people to network and discuss various topics on human-centered living environments on a monthly basis.

A meeting point for the research and planning of human-centred living environments
The Grand Opening of the Aalto Living+ Hub in Otaniemi attracted about 120 researchers and representatives of the industry and nearby cities. The program included keynotes, research pitches, networking, and the presentation of the new multimedia equipment.

Living+ Forum 2019: Inclusive Environments
The focus of the Living+ Forum 2019 lecture series was Inclusive environments. Some of the topics covered include "Design for All", Multicultural Living Environments, and Aging in Cities.

2017-2018
The way people and goods move around is going to change dramatically in the near future. More efficient technology and smarter services, is likely to completely disrupt our current idea of transportation, how we move and how we buy stuff. The Living+ Forum in 2018 presented a glimpse into this disruption, why it is happening, how it changes our behavior, and how we can begin to make sense of it.
