Professor Jukka Pekola is an internationally recognised researcher and pioneer in quantum thermodynamics. His groundbreaking research has advanced the understanding of t/fi/node/1391649he relationship between thermodynamics, information and quantum systems. Pekola has played a key role in building Finland’s quantum research ecosystem through the Academy of Finland Centres of Excellence he has led, the national OtaNano research infrastructure and the Finnish Quantum Institute, InstituteQ. He works at the School of Science.
